I ordered food yesterday and it was - as always - just delicious and the chocolate cake desert was the icing on the cake! The delivery came on time and everything was very well and lovingly packed - WITHOUT plastic. I very much hope that a lot of people will simply order so that the inn and the team will be supported and hopefully we can soon be back in the inn or on the benches outside.

We had ordered schnitzel to be picked up. Food was great. 1A. Lovely again. Ordering online also worked great.

Delicious, home-style cuisine. Very friendly, open-minded staff. We ordered for the whole family and then picked them up. The packaging for this is well thought out and environmentally conscious. The food was still warm at home and the schnitzel was crispy. We are looking forward to the next time. ?

We ordered takeaway today and loved it. Our food was warm, delicious as always, and the portions were more than adequate. Each dish was packed in a cardboard box and lovingly labeled by hand. As a little surprise there was a very tasty chocolate cake. Thanks a lot for this. If you don't feel like cooking, you can bring home good home-style cooking, almost like grandma's. We would definitely order again.

Due to the current lockdown, we tested the delivery offer of the bear today. The dishes were delivered in environmentally friendly cardboard containers that were lovingly handwritten with the individual contents. Everything arrived hot and the delivery time was an unbeatable 20 minutes within Höchst. All in all, a very tasty dinner with a suitable price-performance ratio. Many thanks at this point for the sweet surprise!

I lived in Hochst for 4 months and this is by far the best restaurant. I will go back to Germany just to have this food again.

The food is great, the quality and the prices are consistent. The staff is kind and attentive. The restaurant impresses with specialties such as venison and wild boar but also with typical Frankfurt food. Gladly again!

Traditional restaurant on the Schlossplatz in Frankfurt / M. Maximum. Was there with my parents as a child. The food has changed over the years, but is still good and tasty. You would want a little more traditional Frankfurt dishes on the menu. Bavarian roast pork or grilled knuckle does not fit there, but it is understandable that you move with the times and also orientate yourself towards tourists. But in such a traditional pub you can also expect traditional food. The staff is (despite the stress) friendly, courteous and quick. The only point of shortcoming is the unbearable smell on the toilet. Tears well up in my eyes. However, this is not due to the cleanliness. Actually very clean and not renovated that long. One suspects much more the outdated sewer system. It has to be touched up here, that doesn't give a good picture. Because of the smell in the toilets, I only give it 3 stars, the rest of it deserves 5. This is my subjective opinion, other guests may disagree.

Rustic, well done food, tasty. Unfortunately there was no fish or poultry dish on the menu, but you should find out more on the internet before visiting the Gadthaus, right. Very nice service, and not just as I noticed because they know my husband there.

Home-style cuisine in the middle of the beautiful Höchst Palace Square. The portions are sufficient and delicious. The changing season tickets are my absolute favorite. Nice waitstaff who make a great service. The guest room and the sanitary facilities are clean and well-kept. I will gladly come again.

So whenever we come here we are served super friendly, the food is also very tasty. We love to be here. No matter whether inside or outside. And even during the Corona period, they have everything under control and comply with all regulations. Really always very happy to stay here. Feeling good is definitely given.

My favourite place to go out for a meal in Hocst. Excellent traditional German dishes, great atmosphere and decent beer. What more can you ask for?

A great location with friendly staff and a beautiful, traditional gasthouse atmosphere one would expect in the old höchst city. I got the Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce and potatoes and it was absolutely delicious and in a reasonable price.

Amazing old reteraunt with some incredible food and eccentric waiters. Well worth a visit. I think it may be a seasonable menu but they had elk and wild boar on the menu. We had the fries and green sauce. Incredible

Very good food and kind service. The flavors in the dishes are worth the visit and the presentation of each dish is well thought through.

The atmosphere was amazing and the service was great but there was a German man who worked there and told us Americans we were talking too loud in a bar and ruined the night tonight. I was literally whispering because it was so quiet. We were spending a lot and he made us want to leave right away. It's sad the way someone can ruin a nice evening. We were planning on going back and telling friends but not after that. The food was good but if you are American don't go.

Great quality of food, nice terraces and the prices are appropriate. The Frankfurter Schnitzel was really good.

It's a very authentic German place on the small square. Lots of local food and drinks. Must have's are Frankfurterteller and Apfelwein!

Excellent German food ?

Food was alright, nothing you can't get anywhere else. Sizes where alright but could be bigger for the price. Beer for almost 5eur is pricy, given that this is hoechst and not the city center...

Authentic German cuisine with good beer and a great outside seating area.

July 11, 2019 update, still the best Restaurant for good German food in all of Frankfurt am Main. Our server (a younger male) was by far the most welcoming, accommodating, and helpful server i have had in Germany (the rest of the staff is just as good too!) I take all of my family here when they come to visit from the USA and they all say "This is the best good I have had, and beats the good back home." Thank you all for such amazing service over the years and wonderful food. I hope to bring many more to visit!
